Time tested recipe. You can omit the walnuts if you’d like. Also, these are great sprinkled with or rolled in granulated sugar, or with a Hershey’s kiss fixed in the middle for a peanut butter thumbprint cookie.
Peanut Butter Cookies
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
3 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Sift together the baking soda and flour and set aside. In a medium bowl, cream the granulated sugar with the peanut butter. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and stir well. Finally stir in the nuts, if you’re adding them. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
